Technology Adoption in the Construction Industry

Yatzar Creations was delighted to be associated with the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI), Coimbatore Centre, for a technical talk on Technology Adoption in the Construction Industry, delivered by our Co-Founder & Managing Director, Dr. Simon Jayasingh, held on 24 September 2026 at Kumaraguru College of Technology, as part of the Installation of Office Bearers for the 2026–2028 term. 

The talk was designed to go beyond the conventional discussion of digital tools, focusing on how technology, processes, and people connect to shape the way construction projects are planned, coordinated, and delivered across the AECO industry. 

The session gave attendees insight into the evolving role of digital technologies in construction, while introducing them to the importance of BIM, information management, collaboration, and connected project delivery. 

Key areas covered during the session included: 

• Project Planning & Coordination – How digital tools support better planning and multidisciplinary coordination 

• BIM & Digital Engineering – The role of structured digital information in connecting design, construction, and operations 

• Information Management – How project information can be structured, exchanged, and managed throughout the lifecycle

The session aimed to bridge the gap between academic and professional understanding of construction technology, helping attendees develop a broader view of how digital transformation is shaping the AECO sector.
